Music & Movement Classes

Music& Movement Classes

These classes are designed for walking toddlers age 18 months up to 2 years. Similar to a “Parent & Me” class. These classes emphazise developing motor skills and creative dance. Skills explored change each month and include balance, moving in space vs moving in place, moving fast vs moving at regular speed, crossing the midline, exposure to various types of music, and much more. It’s a great way to expose your student to dance and to other toddlers their age.

Our Dance & Performance classes are survey style classes that cover a wide range of styles; ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre. Apart from introducing basics in popular disciplines, we emphasize motorskill development, creative dance, spatial awareness, and musicality. We offer two age groups to fit your child’s specific needs. Dancers in these classes are also eligible to participate in our totally awesome bi-annual performances. These performance are designed with the preschool dancer in mind, and are low stress for your dancer as well as the whole family.

Principal Creative & Performing Arts

Principal Creative & Performing Arts

When your turns 5 they may be ready to graduate from Small Fry and move up to our Principal Arts program. PCPA offers various levels to fit your dancer’s needs. Styles offered include ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre. Classes become more focused on technique but remain age appropriate. PCPA also offers performance teams which participate in multiple competitions each Spring. Transitioning from SFDC to PCPA is super easy! Just let our front desk staff know you are interested.
